Must Try This DIY Knot Pillow!
Decorating your house is a fun activity. Especially when you create your own and unique decorations. It is up to you and your imagination. Remember that creativity has no limits! Today we have a brilliant idea for making something that will fit in every home. And the process of making is very easy! If you like pillows, then you will love this for sure. You don’t need fancy equipment for this one. Even if you are not into sewing, you will make it, as this one does not require any special skills. You must try this DIY Knot Pillow that is effortless and costs almost nothing!
These ones look stunning! The fact that they are so easy to make is a positive side too. You will need some basic stuff, like:
– 1/3 yard of knit fabric (Make sure it has a good stretch)
– Pillow stuffing
– an empty wrapping paper roll
– Sewing Machine, needle, thread
– Dowel rod
Cut and sew (2 strips) 5 x 1yrd of knit fabric. Once sown, turn the fabric inside over using the empty wrapping paper roll.
The process of forming the pillow is like the balloon animal tutorial. It’s easy and to make the stuffing a lot of easier, insert the tube into the knit fabric then insert the pillow stuffing with the rod.
Now, to make the knot part of this pillow. This type of knot is called Turk’s Head Knot but I have made a few adjustments to make it easier and faster.
I took a few tries to understand the knot but at the end it was just as how I imagined it would turned out.
This is the image I used to make the knot pillow. To make the know pillow, do exactly as the picture is shown except you will be using two at a time (ignore steps 9-11).
Once you are into step 8, pull the remaining ends and make it tighter to form a ball. Push the ends inside and sew them against the inside.
And voila- it’s done! This pink knot pillow will fit perfectly into a girl’s bedroom. And the most fun thing is that you can make different types of knots. Go for the one that you find most interesting.
You can practically use them everywhere! Despite in bedroom, you can put your knot pillows in any place possible. Make as many as you want and decorate your home. Make an ordinary chair more comfortable with one of these. Or, put a few in the living room. Your sofa will look quite different. Make different colors of knot pillows and bring some freshness and color into your home.
